A bit more mass appealing than its "niece", Oud for Greatness. Oud accord here is softer, and PdM has increased sweet character (with the praline). On paper its fantastic. On skin, it depends. It opens fresh, with bergamot and lavender very uplifited. But then, the saffron, oud accord and praline appears to change the global scent. A bit linear after this change. Very good performance and duration (12 hours). Age: over 35+ to wear this, IMHO. Sofisticated, different and a bit exotic are the words for this perfume. But, this is not a perfume for everyone.

Finally bit the bullet after seeing many videos of this. Just today got the sample from Pafory and sprayed a tiniest amount on the product card. Kept smelling the card and then sprayed 2 tiny sprays of Althair on my wrist. This is soo good, comforting, beautiful scent. Not too heavy. To me this is very unisex (I'm a woman). Spices, vanilla..love. If a man mear me was wearing this, I'd most likely marry him. A full bottle of Althair is my next obsession.

If you're not into niche, it can be weird to smell the first time. But, if you do it under 20 ºC degrees (mandatory) and let the perfume do its job is fantastic. Opens with bergamot for just a couple of seconds. Soon, you realize that this perfume goes into a spicy cinnamon, vanille and praline. It's sweet but an elegant one. It lasts long, about 9 hours, with good projection and sillage. A very recommended fragrance for cold fall and winter.

PDM Layton is one of the more popular releases from the PDM line and rightfully so. It's extremely mass appealing, versatile and performs well. It carries that signature PDM DNA found in Herod, Carlisle, etc but has the added notes of apple, citrus, lavender and mint. I have no issues wearing all seasons (except hot summers) and most settings/environments. If you are new to the PDM house, Layton is a great gateway to the brand.

I'm not sure how to describe it but it is my favourite perfume. It lasts all day and for weeks on coats and scarfs. It is beautiful and I always get compliments. I would says it is strong in a good way as it lasts. I've had 3 bottles so far. The delina from this range is also my next favourite that is oriental. You won't fail the like this one though. Lovely for a date. You can wear a little or a lot and it always smells good.

Julien Spencer founded Parfums de Marly in 2009. Since then, luxury perfumes have served as a fragrant memorial to bygone eras, with inspiration drawn from the 18th century. Spencer has had a lifelong interest in perfumery and history, which he combines in his luxurious creation. He allows the past and the present to coexist, recalling the lavish extravagance of the Baroque era while infusing it with a modern vision.
