The Philosophy
The brand was founded in 2009 by Julien Sprecher, whose love for perfume was passed down from his father. Parfums de Marly, a high-end perfumery brand, conjures up a dreamlike state with its "signature" fragrances, which are short, striking, direct. The inspiration
It is necessary to consider that at that time in Versailles there were more than ninety thousand flowers and plants in the royal gardens. They all served the glory of the "perfumed court". None could hold a candle to the French perfumers, at the center of which was an absolutist king who had his premises deodorized every day with different creations. Even the fountains in the garden carried perfumed water. In the pleasure palace of Marly, the king decided, the welfare of the purest horses should be taken care of. The king's horse breeding was so famous that the Tunisian king gave him eight Arabians. These were crossed with magnificent, large and strong European horses. They were the model for the famous sculptures on the Champs Elysee.
